The Weill Cornell Concussion and Brain Injury Clinic was founded on a very simple premise: Brain injuries require brain experts to evaluate and treat them. Unfortunately, many so-called “concussion clinics” are nothing more than side practices of rehab centers, staffed by orthopedists and physiatrists who don’t have the advanced training in neuroscience that a brain injury calls for. Children with concussions are too often seen by their regular pediatricians, who have no particular expertise in brain injury.
We believe that the best approach to evaluating and managing concussion and mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBIs) is a rational, science-based one. We believe that neurological services should be offered by neuroscientists. We believe that our team, made up of internationally recognized experts in all facets of concussion and mTBI, is uniquely qualified to deliver the world-class care your brain deserves. Members of our staff serve as consultants to the New York Giants, New York Jets, and New York Islanders; we are also on call to help many college and high school athletic departments manage their concussion programs. (Meet our team of expert neuroscientists.)
The Weill Cornell Concussion and Brain Injury Clinic evaluates and treats children, adolescents, and adults who have or suspect concussion or mTBIs. Our clinic boasts a multi-disciplinary team of neurologists, neuropsychologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, and other neuroscientists with expertise in concussion management.
